Clearances

A player who has played for a club in BASA Junior or Senior Competition and who wishes to play for another club in those competitions must firstly apply for and receive a Clearance from their current club.
The following steps should be taken when the player wishes to transfer to another club:
Apply in writing to the Club Secretary for a clearance stating the name of the club to which you which to transfer and dating the letter.
Return all club property (eg. Uniform if wishing to be onsold).
Ensure that you are financial (ie. subscriptions have been paid).
Send a copy of the letter to BASA, PO Box 29, Findon 5023
Allow a reasonable period of time for the club to respond.
Some clubs may require the payment of a small administration fee.
Upon receiving the clearance, show the clearance to the Secretary of the new club.
You are eligible to play for the new club once the clearance has been lodged with BASA. *
 
* Unless you have played 1 or more games for  your existing club in the current season, in which case you wont be eliglble to play for you new club until the next season.
 
**If the club has not responded in writing to your request within one month of the lodgement of the application, contact BASA, seeking clarification and advice.
